CLASSES FOR PARENTS:




Positive Solutions for Shared Parenting*


Positive Solutions for Shared Parenting is one 4 hour class taught in an educational and interactive format that specifically addresses the needs of parents who are dealing with post-separation conflict. 


Positive Solutions for Shared Parenting is designed to build on the skills and information provided in the mandatory parenting class for divorcing parents.  Parents who are already participating in parent coordination or co-parenting counseling will benefit from this class as well as parents who are simply seeking additional strategies for negotiating conflict.  



Positive Solutions for Shared Parenting utilizes a variety of teaching methods including videotaped scenes depicting common problem scenarios; demonstration of healthy methods for communication and problem-solving; group discussion; and the presentation of psychoeducational materials.  Follow the link below for class brochure and registration form:

Writing a Practical Parenting Plan: Tips for Parents*


Writing a Practical Parenting Plan: Tips for Parents is one 2 hour class taught in an educational and interactive format that specifically addresses the needs of parents who must develop a Parenting Plan for submission to the court in their dissolution or paternity action.


Writing a Practical Parenting Plan is designed to build on the skills and concepts provided in the statewide mandatory parenting class for divorcing parents and in Positive Solutions for Shared Parenting.


 


Writing a Practical Parenting Plan utilizes a variety of teaching methods including presentation of information; written exercises, and group discussion.


 


This class is not intended to provide participants with a completed Parenting Plan for submission to the court.  This class does not provide legal advice to participants but instead presents ideas for developing a Parenting Plan from a psychological perspective to decrease conflict and improve practical day to day co-parenting.  Follow the link below for class brochure and registration form:
